The Melbourne Renegades will rue missed opportunities last season and look to improve on a sixth place finish – however, that task will not be made any easier this year following the loss of superstar spinner Muttiah Muralitharan.

Up and down is probably the best way to describe the Sydney Sixers after three seasons.
In the first edition of the Big Bash League they upset the Scorchers in the final at the WACA Ground, and went onto to claim the double with the Champions League T20 trophy, before slumping to seventh in the second season of the BBL. In the third season they returned to the finals, only to be beaten by eventual champions the Perth Scorchers in a rain-affected game.
Test wicketkeeper-batsman Brad Haddin will captain the side, with the likes of Steven Smith, Steve O’Keefe, Marcus Lyon, Mitchell Starc and Moises Henriques adding support.

In order to stabilise the ship, so to say, the Thunder management have signed South African Jacques Kallis to instigate some winning ways – and rightly so, if there is one man who knows how to win, and bring in a winning culture, it would be arguably the best all-rounder of all time.
With Kallis, the Thunder also boast high calibre players Mike Hussey, Usman Khawaja and Nathan Hauritz.
Will this be the year that the Thunder finally make an impression on the competition?
